Most participating stores have giveaways, live in-store performances, free swag, contests, and limited edition Record Store Day pressings (pdf). We have even been to some shops who celebrate the holiday with cookouts and cookie decorating. Always a lot of fun -- and Record Store Day helps keep the independent music shops going.
