Juan Vicari and His Orchestra - Mambo. This 10" landed a place in my home just because Mr. Vicari opens with a mambo variation of "The Old Gray Mare." Of all the lovely songs in the world to choose from, it was puzzling to find this song selected for a mambo rendition. Why on Earth? What was Vicari thinking? Regardless, Vicari's little record has some happy moments of marimbas and brass with piano combo. Let's dance, shall we?
