Angel Haze, The Good Bad Girl

With the wrap of Angel Haze's UK tour last weekend, it seemed like a good time to promote her free releases. What we didn't know was what a splash our girl made across the ocean.

The BBC named NYC rapper Angel Haze in their top 3 of the Sound of 2013. MTV UK viewer-led search for the very best in new music in 2013 has placed Angel Haze at number 9 among the winners of MTV Brand New for 2013. Way to represent, Angel Haze!

Angel was born Raykeea "Raeen" Wilson in Detroit. She was a shy, poetry writing girl who grew up in a repressive religious home (not unlike recently featured Meg Myers). At 16, she was finally allowed to listen to secular music and began rapping her poems. A wild-child alter ego was born, and now straight-talking rapper Angel Haze is rising to stardom.
